Department store exhibition - Womens clothes
This project was part of a group exhibition project I made during my exchange in Japan. Everyone in my class made an artwork based on their department in a fictional store. The shops were chosen randomly. Materials and style was up to artist. I had a total of two weeks for the design and execution.
Digital illustration. I tried to capture a feminine pose and used colours inspired by flowers. Using soft pinks and whites and greens.
Because of the lack of time I focussed on only one flower arrangement instead of covering the whole dress with a print. It is made using a cutout from paper to use as a stencil to paint on the fabric and basic fabric paint colurs(red, blue yellow, white).
The completed work as it was displayed in the gallery. The fabric was attached using cuts in the illustration and the illustartion itself is pasted on a foamboard. Sorry for the bad lightning and quality.
